I’m always looking for ways to make healthy green smoothies that are also delicious. Since I love the taste of lime and mint together, I thought what could be better than a Mojito Green Smoothie?
This green smoothie is not only refreshing like a mojito, but it also contains ingredients that have some great health benefits (see below). You can freeze the fruit and veggie ingredients ahead of time for a frozen treat or add them as they are.
You can add kale instead of spinach. You can also add your favorite healthy fat or protein powder.
Here are some of the benefits of the Mojito Green Smoothie. Get cool, drink up, and enjoy!
spinach – high amounts of carotenoids, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid, iron and calcium
granny smith apples – promotes good gut bacteria, high dietary fiber, low in carbs, excellent source of vitamin C
zucchini– lots of potassium, manganese, and antioxidants like vitamin C and vitamin A
banana – high in potassium and fiber
mint – promotes digestion and soothes the stomach
lime – loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants
